Emergency Services - System Recovery

Almost every organization experiences a “crash” of their hard drive, or other equally serious equipment failure, at one time or another. Some crashes are caused by viruses, usually acquired through the Internet or running a disk without first scanning it for possible viruses, others are caused by basic hardware failure.

Mechanical or electronic death of hardware can be equally troublesome. The result is often the same…fatal errors, the system won’t boot, etc., all of which results in inaccessible data. To exacerbate this problem, a very large number of schools have absolutely no backup system of any kind to protect their data. In the event of a system “meltdown,” call ETA, we will get you back up and running and all work will be done on-site.

As an ETA Preferred Client, you will have access to our “rapid response service” during business hours. Despite all our best efforts, computers still break down time to time. Our “rapid response service” assures you of quick service minimizing your network’s downtime. Everything we do is designed to minimize emergency responses. But if something happens, we are here for you. Our depth of knowledge and local availability allows us to respond quickly to any and all emergencies.

Service Packages

If you were a university or large institution and encountered an IT related problem, you would dial an extension for your internal IT department to open a service ticket address the issue. ETA functions for you the same way. When any of your staff experiences a problem and requires support, ETA is here as your IT department with a tailored solution for your needs.

A contract with ETA is similar to a cell phone minute plan. The hours that you purchase, if not used during that month, will roll over and be added to your new monthly hours, creating a bank of hours for you to use as needed. These hours continue to roll over from year to year as long as the contract remains in effect.

Onsite & Depot Service Package

This package is designated for prepaid hours for work that is done either onsite, at your facility, or for work that is done on your equipment in our office. These hours can be used for anything you like – from large scale projects to simply replacing a mouse.

Phone & Remote Service Package

Our Phone & Remote Package is designed for those times when your staff is in need of support from ETA but it is not necessary for a technician to perform that work onsite. There are many instances when a simple phone call can help resolve a problem quickly and efficiently – and definitely saving the cost of an onsite visit. There are times when a phone call isn’t quite enough, a remote session is necessary. One of our technicians can remote into the affected PC and see firsthand what the problem may be – most times averting an onsite visit. Both situations would fall under this section of the contract’s prepaid hours.

Preventive Maintenance & Cleaning Package

Lastly, this package is designed with prevention in mind – a regularly scheduled preventive checkup of the PC’s on your network to make sure that all of the potential pitfalls of daily use do not adversely affect the functionality of your computers. As we all know, viruses, malware, Trojans, and spyware, are attacking our PC’s faster than most people can keep up with them. This is why ETA feels Preventive Maintenance is one of the most important services we offer. We need to keep ahead of the game when it comes to these threats and having a regular program of prevention is the key. This section allows you to pick what that regular schedule looks like for you - from monthly visits to just once a year.You decide what works best for your budget.
